Colin Powell just made his endorsement of Barak Obama official on Meet the Press.

Now after having listened to Colin Powell's ringing endorsement of Obama, I can add this:

This is hugely significant both because of who Colin Powell is and because of the way he did it. As someone said, this was not a "liberal" endorsement, nor was it an anti-McCain choice. It was a careful parsing of Powell's depth of knowledge of both men, of the issues, of their campaigns, and of their potential as president.

In the end, he praised Obama's temperament, his judicious way of making decisions, his steadiness, and his vision. He said he can be an exceptional, transformational president; and that's what the country needs at this time.

One commentor on This Week pointed out that Obama now has the endorsement of (1)Colin Powell, a former Chairman of the Joint Chies of the military and former National Security Adviser, and former Sec. of State; and (2) Warren Buffet, an icon of the financial world.

These testatments from leaders of military/foreign policy and finance should end any credible concerns about his handling national security and the economy.
